Q. Why should I join the Study Barn?
A. Membership allows you to take full advantage of the Study Barn system. You will be able to create and add content (questions, exams, and study groups) as well as track your progress and join study groups.
Q. Do I have to be a member of the Study Barn in order to study?
A. If you are not a member you have limited access to the study material. You will be able to look at questions and do an exam but your results will not be kept. Only members may access the study groups.
Q. How do I add my own content?
A. First of all sign up to become a member. Once you are part of our family click on the create links (Study Group, Exam, or Question). It won't take you long to realize just how quickly you can add your knowledge to the system.
Q. How do I add images to my content?
A. Currently the Study Barn does not host images. The best way to integrate images is by using HTML to point to an online image.
Q. Do I have to make my content public for all to use?
A. While the Study Barn was designed to allow all members to share thier content we realize that sometimes you just want to keep it private for a small group. If you so desire then select the private features on the content creation pages.
Q. Do I need to install any software on my computer to use the Study Barn?
A. No. You will never have to install any software on your computer to use the Study Barn. All you need is an Internet Browser. This will allow you to use the Study Barn on any computer that has a connection to the Internet.
Q. What happens if I start an exam and have to stop mid way through?
A. The Study Barn was designed to allow you to study when it is most convenient for you. Whenever you begin any set of questions, be it an exam or a random grouping, the Study Barn remembers where you are. If you leave a test prematurely, you can return in the future simply by clicking on the "Incomplete Exams" link.
Q. What operating system was the Study Barn designed to work with?
A. The Study Barn will work with all current operating systems that support Internet browsers. This includes windows, macintosh, linux and various flavours of unix.
Q. Do I need Cookies enabled on my browser for the Study Barn to work?
A. Yes. Cookies allow the Study Barn to distinguish you from others as your work on your studies.
