The larger root of the equation (x+4)(x-3) = 0 is:
A. -4
B. -3
C. 3
D. 4
To determine the roots, set each of the factors = 0. This will give (x+4)=0 and (x-3)=0. Now, solve each equation for x and you will get x = -4 and x = 3. The larger root is 3.
