Two angles of a triangle are in the ratio 2:5. The other angle is 820. Find the number of degrees in the smallest angle of the triangle.
A. 15
B. 25
C. 28
D. 38
E. 82
Let the other two angles be 2x and 5x. Thus
2x + 5x + 82 = 180
7x = 98
x = 14
2x = 28
5x = 70.
The smallest angle is 280
